The constitution stipulates in its Article 144 that the President of the Republic must, before assuming their duties, take the following oath before the House of Representatives: "I swear by Almighty God to sincerely uphold the republican system, to respect the constitution and the law, to preserve the interests of the people in full, and to maintain the independence of the nation and the unity and integrity of its territories." Sources told RT that the Egyptian president will take the constitutional oath in the chamber of the new Egyptian House of Representatives in the New Administrative Capital, marking the inauguration of the chamber.
