A fire broke out at a scrapyard industrial site in the Yenimahalle area of Ankara, where vehicle tires and waste are typically collected. Turkish authorities reported that the fire ignited in the scrapyard in the Eyvudikoy neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon and spread rapidly due to strong winds, creating a thick layer of smoke in the sky. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
After receiving notification of the fire, the civil defense dispatched multiple firefighting teams from Ankara, Etimesgut, and Sincan to the area. Firefighters are currently working to control the blaze, which has been visible from various parts of the city.
