The military spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, stated that "this battle will establish a new phase in the world, characterized by the notion that rights are reclaimed only through arms." He added, "The outdated laws of international society are manipulated to protect oppression and aggression under the authority of the American administration." He emphasized that "the epic of October 7th was a response to continuous aggression for decades, which reached its peak with attempts to Judaize and demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque," asserting that "Zionist aggression has escalated with the arrival of the most extremist and Nazi government in the entity, which was planning what it is now executing."
He continued: "A unjust and trembling hand rises in the Security Council to hinder every attempt, even if just formal, to support the oppressed. We have been fighting the enemy for 154 days, inflicting heavy losses on its officers, soldiers, mercenaries, and equipment, and we have more to give." He called on "our people to rally and march to Al-Aqsa, to defend it and to not allow the occupation to impose facts on the ground. Let Ramadan be an extension of Gaza and a surge in all arenas inside and outside Palestine."
He stated: "Our fighters at all points and fronts of confrontation continue to resist the aggression with high morale and unparalleled fighting spirit, writing great heroics and ready for further infliction of losses on the enemy. It has become clear that the enemy's government is using deception and evasion in negotiations, characterized by confusion and chaos. We are positively dealing with mediators and are committed to the necessity of a complete cessation of aggression against Gaza."
Abu Ubaida affirmed that the movement's priority in the exchange deal is "a complete stop to the aggression, the withdrawal of the enemy, the relief of our people, the return of the displaced, and the rebuilding." He warned Israel: "Several of the enemy's prisoners are suffering from illness, dehydration, emaciation, and a lack of medicine due to what our people are experiencing. Families of the prisoners should be aware that their government is manipulating their sons and insists on returning them in coffins."
