Diplomatic sources revealed to "Al-Jadeed" that French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné will carry a revised document, which he may deliver to caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, or it could be handled by a joint French delegation from the Foreign Ministry and the French army. The information added: "The French document includes three points implemented in three phases, summarizing Resolution 1701 since it cannot be executed all at once:
- The first phase of the French document calls for the cessation of hostilities at the border in the near term.
- In the second phase, the French replaced the point regarding the withdrawal of armed groups to the north of the Litani River with a point on the redeployment of all groups, including the Hezbollah and others, without specifying the geographical distance.
- The third phase of the French document includes 'establishing the borders, including disputed points, and the withdrawal of Israel from occupied territories, as well as resolving the dispute over the Shebaa Farms.'”
