The traffic report stated, "This evening, a collision occurred on the Amara-Baghdad road (Ali Al-Gharbi district) between two vehicles: the first (Dodge Challenger private) and the second (Great Wall pickup truck)." The statement added that "the cause of the accident was improper passing by the driver of the first vehicle, which led to the collision, resulting in the death of two people and severe injuries to nine others."
