The 16th-century French philosopher and seer Nostradamus predicted that King Charles' reign is at risk and may come to an early end this year. Nostradamus' unsettling prediction regarding the "unexpected abdication" of King Charles III has sparked debate following the king's cancer diagnosis. Nostradamus wrote 942 prophecies for the future in his book *Les Propheties* in 1555. While it's challenging to interpret his predictions as most can be explained in various ways, experts have pointed out that according to his predictions, drama could dominate the royal family’s affairs in 2024, with the text stating that the "king" may be "forced out."
The book states: “The king of the islands was forcibly expelled... and was replaced by someone without any royal sign." Mario Reading, an interpreter of Nostradamus' texts, noted that this excerpt suggests that King Charles could be forced to abdicate. He also proposed that Harry, as the person "who has no royal sign," might take the crown instead of his brother William, the current heir. Nostradamus has a notable track record with his predictions concerning the royal family. He predicted the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, even accurately guessing her age. According to Reading, the book states that "Queen Elizabeth II will die around the year 22, at the age of 96."
