The Élysée Palace announced in a statement today, Thursday, that French President Emmanuel Macron will host Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Army Commander Joseph Aoun tomorrow, Friday, in Paris, "amid internal and regional tensions." Mikati is expected to arrive at the Élysée on Friday afternoon, according to the palace's media office, adding that the Army Commander will also be present. The meeting comes at a time when Lebanon is facing a severe political and economic crisis.
