The Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi expressed Lebanon's continuous commitment to Arab security, particularly the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its community. He emphasized the commitment to combat drug trafficking to Arab countries, fight terrorism, and enhance security cooperation in this context. During his meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif Al Saud, on the sidelines of the Arab Interior Ministers' meeting held in Tunisia, Mawlawi stated that Lebanon's efforts will focus on building the state and fostering trust with the Arab community.

Mawlawi also met with the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to discuss aspects of security cooperation and ways to develop them in the upcoming phase. He held discussions with the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, regarding the situation in Lebanon and how to maintain security stability amid the economic challenges the country faces. There was an emphasis on the importance of keeping Lebanon within the Arab embrace.

During his meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Talal Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Mawlawi stressed the need to continue working to prevent harm and evil from befriending Arab neighbors, praising the ongoing coordination between both ministries.

Mawlawi discussed mutual security cooperation with the Minister of Interior of Oman, Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidi. He also touched on the potential for cooperation in drug combat with the Minister of Interior of Tunisia, Tawfiq Sharafeddine.

Furthermore, Mawlawi met with the Minister of Interior of Iraq, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, to discuss the importance of enhancing security cooperation between the two countries. He reviewed the security situation with his Egyptian counterpart, Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, and emphasized the importance of the existing security cooperation between the two countries regarding the exchange of expertise and information in combating terrorism and controlling narcotics, while expressing gratitude to Egypt for its continuous support of Lebanon and the Lebanese people.
