Libya Repatriates 95 Migrants to Egypt and Pakistan

The Libyan Anti-Illegal Migration Authority announced the repatriation of 95 migrants to both Egypt and Pakistan. Seventy-five irregular migrants of Egyptian nationality were repatriated through the Ras Ajdir border crossing last Thursday. The authority stated in a statement on Sunday that 20 irregular migrants of Pakistani nationality were also repatriated to the Qanfudah detention center, in preparation for their repatriation via Benina International Airport in Benghazi. It was noted that the repatriation unit from the authority's office in Al-Tamimi handed over the migrants under the supervision of Lieutenant Abdulhakim Kheirallah, following the instructions of the authority's head, Major General Nuri Al-Saadi. Previously, the International Organization for Migration announced the rescue and return of 442 migrants to Libya during the early days of February, bringing the total to 1,004 irregular migrants since the beginning of 2024.
