Six people were killed and one other was injured in an attack carried out by an armed individual at a mosque in Herat province, western Afghanistan, the Ministry of Interior announced late Monday to Tuesday. The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Mateen Qani, wrote on X that around 9:00 PM (4:30 PM GMT) on Monday, "an unknown gunman opened fire on worshippers in a mosque in the Guzara area" west of Herat city, adding: "Six civilians were killed and one other was injured."
