After the sun bear at a zoo in China sparked many questions and confusion by standing like a human and waving at visitors, a similar scene has now occurred in Taiwan. A bear was filmed at a zoo in Taiwan wandering and greeting visitors in a suspiciously human-like manner, prompting the zoo management to confirm that it is indeed a bear and not a person in a bear costume.
Visitors at the Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung could hardly believe their eyes as a black bear named Bobi approached them. Photos captured the curious animal jumping over a tree trunk and standing on its hind legs while looking up outside its enclosure and waving at passersby. Some claimed that its posture on two legs and similar height to a human suggested it might be a person in a costume, but the zoo dismissed these speculations, stating that no one could wear a fur suit in the high temperatures.
