Media reports indicate that British Prince Andrew has been staying at home and is not going out, unsure of how to react following the release of documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case in which he is mentioned. The "Mirror" newspaper reported, citing a source, that "he doesn't have the courage to deal with the situation. He has locked himself in a room and doesn't know how to act. He is shattered."
Earlier, the British anti-monarchy group "Republic" stated they reported Prince Andrew to the police concerning the publication of documents that include new details about sexual assault allegations against him. A U.S. court previously released a list of names involved in the case against financier Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison and was accused of child sex trafficking. According to an unnamed woman’s complaint, Prince Andrew gained access to her through a Maxwell intermediary. Epstein is facing charges in the U.S. for trafficking minors for sexual exploitation, a charge that could lead to a 40-year prison sentence, and conspiracy to engage in such trafficking, which is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
