Iraqi Traffic Directorate's Tips to Avoid the Consequences of Dust Storms

The public relations department of the Traffic Directorate in Iraq issued a warning to drivers following reports of a dust storm affecting the country. The warning stated: "Dear driver: For safe driving during dust storms, please follow these instructions: 1- During a dust storm, ensure that windows are closed and the vehicle's air conditioning is on. 2- Make sure that the car's headlights are functioning properly to increase visibility. 3- You should reduce speed and switch lanes calmly. 4- You must remain fully focused on the road while driving. 5- Adhere to the designated speeds in such adverse weather conditions. 6- Maintain a safe distance to avoid potential collisions. 7- Avoid all traffic violations, including driving against the direction, as it puts you at risk of accidents."
