Jumblatt Resigns... Election Conference for "Progressive" on June 25

Walid Jumblatt, the head of the "Progressive Socialist Party," announced his resignation from the presidency of the party, as well as from the current leadership council. In accordance with the party's constitution and internal regulations, Jumblatt called for a "general election conference on June 25, 2023," and tasked the General Secretariat with making the necessary preparations properly and according to established protocols, issuing relevant circulars regarding the dates for accepting nomination applications, withdrawal deadlines, and all conditions related to the electoral process, and preparing lists of general conference members and sending them invitations.
