Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on the areas of Al-Safri and Wadi Jenta in Baalbek last night. The strikes targeted sites associated with the Lebanese Hezbollah militia in the Baalbek area of Lebanon. The specific locations hit are in the heights surrounding the town of Jenta in eastern Lebanon and in the Al-Safri area.
According to Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai, "The Defense Forces struck last night deep in Lebanon in the Baalbek area at three terrorist infrastructures belonging to Hezbollah's air defense unit." He stated, "Warplanes conducted strikes on a military compound and three other military infrastructures belonging to Hezbollah's air defense unit in the Baalbek area in response to the downing of a drone of the air force operating in Lebanese airspace yesterday." He added, "Additionally, warplanes targeted terrorist infrastructures and a military building belonging to Hezbollah in Aita al-Shab and Adaisseh in southern Lebanon, along with artillery shelling that targeted the Yater area yesterday."
