Death of British Singer Steve Harley at 73

Steve Harley, the singer of the British rock band "Cockney Rebel," has passed away at the age of 73, as announced by his family. Harley was famous for the song "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)," which topped the UK charts in 1975. He wrote the song, which sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide and was released in more than 120 different formats. His daughter stated in a statement that Harley "died peacefully at home," adding, "We know that people around the world will miss him dearly." The BBC reported that Harley, born in 1951, was still touring until recently but canceled his dates to undergo cancer treatment. The band "Cockney Rebel" scored four top ten singles in the UK and two top ten albums.
