Tragic narratives about the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip have topped the submissions from Arab countries and media unions for the Media Excellence Award. The Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khatabi, stated that the organization will host a meeting for the jury committee for the eighth round of the award on April 22 of this year, which is dedicated this year to "Crisis, Disaster, and Risk Media." Khatabi appreciated the sincere and ongoing efforts of journalists and media professionals who work with high levels of sacrifice, selflessness, and professionalism during the bloody and harsh months of bombings that have claimed the lives of thousands of innocent civilians, especially women and children, and caused horrific destruction and devastation. The Arab League will celebrate Arab Media Day on April 21, following a decision from the Council of Arab Media Ministers, in alignment with the goals of the League's charter and references for joint Arab media work, and to encourage excellence and innovation.
