The Washington Post reported today that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump pledged to eliminate dozens of environmental rules and policies established by the current administration of President Joe Biden during a meeting with top executives in the U.S. oil sector. He also requested to raise one billion dollars for his campaign. The paper cited sources familiar with the meeting, which took place last month in Florida, stating that Trump promised to end Biden's "commitment" regarding electric vehicles, referencing new emissions rules and stopping the current administration's freeze on new liquefied natural gas export permits, among other actions. Trump told the company executives that providing one billion dollars would be a "deal" for them, according to the report.
