The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the publication of an offensive image of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on Friday. In a statement released today, the ministry noted that "targeting the Turkish president reflects the psychological state that the Israeli government has reached," adding that "the Israeli foreign minister's post on social media is careless and of a low standard."
The statement continued: "Targeting Erdogan after he revealed the facts as they are reflects the current psychological condition of the Israeli government; all members of the Israeli government will inevitably be held accountable before justice." The ministry emphasized that "Turkey will continue, without fear and loudly, to expose the oppression exercised by Israel against the Palestinian people."
Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz posted a composite image on his X platform account, depicting Erdogan lying on a couch thinking about wearing a "sultan's crown," suggesting that he "dreams of rebuilding the Ottoman Empire."
