Title: "Change Alliance Decides to Participate in Budget Discussion Sessions to Prevent Its Approval"

Title:

The Change Alliance bloc announced in a statement that the bloc has decided to participate in the general sessions of the Parliament to discuss the budget, in order to prevent its passage in the government and to avoid placing the burden of its catastrophic consequences on citizens. The bloc aims to work on alleviating the impact of the unfair taxes imposed on all Lebanese and to protect the resilient private sector institutions.

Additionally, the bloc decided "not to vote in favor of approving the budget due to its constitutional violations, as it lacks a financial statement, does not unify the exchange rate, and contains no strategic reform vision. It does not propose any policies to manage the financial and economic crisis we are suffering from, but rather repeats the previous approach that has led the country to its current situation."

It pointed out that "the responsibility primarily lies with the government as a whole and its president for not taking serious action to end the crisis faced by the Lebanese. This negligence rises to the level of a national crime, particularly in the absence of clear governmental solidarity during the budget discussion sessions in the committee, as we did not find any minister defending the budget, but rather each of them sang their own tune."
