Egyptian artist Ahmed Abdel Aziz caused a major uproar when he was present at the funeral of his late colleague Sherine Saif El Nasr and lost his temper with a young man with special needs as he was leaving. A video clip circulated showing the Egyptian artist confronting the young man, saying, "watch your hand, hurry up," while reprimanding him and ordering him to step aside. The young man apologized repeatedly as he followed the artist.
The video went viral on social media, sparking outrage among users who viewed Abdel Aziz's reaction as excessive and overly emotional. This prompted Ahmed Abdel Aziz to issue media statements to apologize to the young man, explaining that he did not know he had special needs. He expressed that his outburst was triggered by the crowding that often occurs at funerals and wakes, which makes artists feel overwhelmed by cameras during arrival and departure.
Not content with just apologizing through the media, the Egyptian artist surprised everyone by posting a picture on his official Facebook page showing him with the young man. Ahmed Abdel Aziz hosted him at his home to personally apologize, commenting on the photo, "You brightened my day and we had coffee together... sometimes a misfortune brings good." This indicated that the matter had been fully resolved between them.
