Videos circulating have documented a thunderstorm that hit the Al-Rumaitha district in Al-Muthanna province, southern Iraq, causing flooding in the area. It disrupted all provinces in central and southern Iraq, except for Basra and Karbala. Some provinces suspended all governmental operations, while others only suspended schools, in accordance with recommendations from meteorological experts who confirmed the necessity of halting regular work due to severe weather conditions, flooding, lightning, and expected storms.
