A five-story building in the Choueifat area collapsed this morning, Sunday. No injuries were reported among the residents, who were able to evacuate after hearing strange noises coming from the building. Regarding the incident, the Mayor of Choueifat, Shadid Hanna, stated: "There are no injuries or casualties in the building that collapsed this morning."
Following the collapse, an adjacent building was evacuated after cracks were discovered in its columns. The Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, visited the site of the collapsed building in Choueifat. He assured the safety of the residents and those living in nearby buildings, emphasizing that he is present to monitor the situation of the citizens and residents in the area.
