Blinken: ICC Decision Could Undermine Efforts for Agreement in Gaza

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a statement that "the United States rejects the request of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli officials and Hamas members." Blinken said today, "We reject the Prosecutor's equating of Israel with Hamas." He noted that "arrest warrants that the ICC may issue could undermine efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement and facilitate the exchange of hostages and increase humanitarian aid in Gaza."
