Reports on Wednesday revealed the latest developments in the rehabilitation of Brazilian star Neymar da Silva as he prepares to return to participate in matches for Al Hilal after a long absence. Neymar suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in October while playing for the Brazilian national team against Uruguay in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadh," Neymar will enter the fifth (and penultimate) phase of his rehabilitation program next week. The newspaper indicated that this penultimate phase for the Brazilian star focuses on muscle strengthening and specific training involving the ball, running, and speed work. It is noteworthy that Neymar is undergoing his rehabilitation program at Al Hilal's facility, under the supervision of his compatriot Ricardo Rosa, the player's physical and technical trainer. Neymar joined Al Hilal at the beginning of the current season from Paris Saint-Germain for 90 million euros, in addition to the player's salary, signing a two-year contract. He has played five matches with Al Hilal, scoring one goal and assisting in the creation of three goals.
