"Red Sea International," the developer of the most ambitious renewable tourism projects in the world - "Red Sea" and "Amaala" - has announced the unveiling of an innovative robot for cleaning beaches to keep its stunning sands free from waste. This robot is designed to enhance the appearance of the sands and collect plastic waste and debris, with the capability to detect items as small as 1 cm². This modern, fully electric robot features remote control operation, ensuring comprehensive cleaning results without causing any harm to the environment.
The robot is also designed to be highly flexible, allowing it to navigate easily between furniture and other objects that typically pose challenges for similar robots on the market. It can cover an area of 3,000 square meters in just one hour. The beach cleaning robot will initially be operated in the "Red Sea" destination, which will contribute to preserving the stunning landscapes of the destination and its world-class resorts. This significant achievement highlights "Red Sea International's" dedication to maintaining the beauty of its beaches for visitors and embodies a harmonious blend of luxury travel experiences and sustainable environmental practices.
It is worth noting that the Red Sea destination welcomed its first visitors in 2023 with the opening of two of its hotels, and the Red Sea International Airport has been regularly receiving flights since September 2023. Upon completion of the project in 2030, the "Red Sea" destination will include 50 resorts offering a total of up to 8,000 hotel units, along with more than 1,000 residential units spread across 22 islands and six land sites, in addition to luxury marinas, golf courses, and recreational facilities.
