The Russian Defense Ministry announced the total losses of Ukrainian forces over the past week, stating that more than 6,685 Ukrainian soldiers have been eliminated, along with the downing of 1,712 drones and dozens of Western missiles fired by Ukrainian forces. The daily statement from the Russian Defense Ministry regarding the progress of the military operation in Ukraine indicated that from April 6 to April 12, Russian forces responded to Ukraine's attempts to "harm the oil and gas industry and energy sites in Russia" by delivering broad strikes, including 47 air, naval, and ground attacks on fuel storage facilities, energy infrastructure, and military industrial complexes in Ukraine.
According to the statement, logistics bases, military positions, and gatherings of Ukrainian troops and "foreign mercenaries" were targeted, as reported by Russian media. The ministry noted that nearly half of the dead Ukrainian soldiers fell in the Donetsk front, where Russian forces killed over 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers, while more than 2,130 soldiers were killed in the Avdiivka area.
