Poland has demanded that Israel pay compensation following the death of an aid worker from the organization "World Central Kitchen" in the Gaza Strip. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on Israel to apologize for the killing of Polish aid worker Damian Sobol in Gaza. Tusk also requested that Israel provide compensation to Sobol's family, who was one of seven aid workers killed in an airstrike on Gaza. In a press conference, Donald Tusk stated, "We will expect... an immediate clarification of the circumstances and compensation for the victims' relatives." Tusk mentioned yesterday that "the Israeli airstrike that led to the deaths of aid workers in Gaza, along with the reaction of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has caused 'understandable anger' and tension in relations with Warsaw."
