Former Brazilian star Ronaldo has announced the sale of his club "Cruzeiro," one of the most prestigious teams in Brazil, after two years of ownership while the team was in the second division. The 2002 World Cup champion stated during a press conference at the club's headquarters in Belo Horizonte: "I have accomplished my mission. My idea was always to rebuild Cruzeiro and bring it back to its rightful place, and when the time is right, hand it over to the right person." Joining Ronaldo was the new owner, Pedro Lourenço, a millionaire who heads a chain of supermarket stores (Supermercados BH).
