The distinguished Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qablan noted in a statement that "despite the catastrophe hitting the core interests of Lebanon, political disconnection continues to prevail. There is no solution in this country without a national settlement that addresses the keys to the country’s interests. The President is a national key and an essential necessity for the country’s interests. It is imperative to eliminate external interference in order to protect the presidential election, and the solution lies solely in domestic arrangements. The Parliament serves as a guarantee of sovereignty and national decision-making, as well as the primary guardian of authority and security issues. Given that the region is on the brink of eruption, we have a serious opportunity to eliminate the national vacuum, especially since the sacrifices are significant and the stakes are as precious as Lebanon and the region itself." He continued in the statement: "When a leader or the son of a leader is a martyr, it signifies that the country is in great shape. What is required is the sanctification of truth, the elevation of its commemoration, and the acknowledgment of the blood that protects Lebanon and the region. Those who read about the families of the martyrs at the moment their sacrifices were made for this country understand that those who protect Lebanon engage in acts of jihad and political sacrifice that safeguard Lebanon’s core interests. What we need is a moment of conscience and justice, away from the nightmares of the outside world."
