The caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati sponsored a ceremony held at the "Rachid Karami International Exhibition" in Tripoli, unveiling a commemorative plaque marking the inclusion of the exhibition in the UNESCO World Heritage list. During the event, the Prime Minister stated: "Lebanon values art and architecture, which is why it was chosen this year as a member of the UNESCO core committee to select key landmarks around the world. This is evidence that we are not newcomers to this subject but rather foundational to it. We appreciate art, culture, and architecture, which is why Lebanon was chosen to play a significant role in selecting other landmarks. It remains up to all of us to ensure that we invest in this facility to truly embody the name of President Rachid Karami, who gave much to this country and served as a role model in patriotism and Arabism." He emphasized that "this landmark is important, and we will preserve and maintain it to serve as a starting point for further investment in this remarkable facility on Lebanese soil."
