The Minister of Defense in the "Ansar Allah" government, Mohammed al-Atefi, confirmed that the Houthis are ready for deterrence and response, stating that Yemen holds the upper hand in the Red and Arab Seas. He remarked, "The longer the war against our people in Gaza continues, the more surprises we will have."
He added, "We tell those in our seas, islands, and all Yemeni geography that the stages of guardianship, dominance, and dependency are buried and gone for good." He warned: "We urge you to leave the region and refrain from fabricating flimsy excuses and justifications. Our hands are on the trigger, and our morale is stronger and tougher than steel. We have repeatedly warned that the Red Sea has become prohibited for the Zionist enemy entity. We do not target anything but the enemy's Israeli ships or those supporting them or heading towards them. We confirm that the other ships from around the world passing through the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea are safe and secure and will not be harmed."
