The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasized that the safety and security of citizens and residents are among the top priorities of the UAE government. He expressed appreciation for the level of awareness and responsibility demonstrated by everyone during the climatic conditions the country experienced.
He instructed the relevant authorities to promptly assess the state of infrastructure in various regions of the country and to identify the damage caused by the record heavy rains, which have been the highest since the beginning of climate data recording in 1949. Additionally, he directed that necessary support be provided to all families affected by the impact of the rains in various areas of the country.
His Highness ordered the relocation of the affected families to safe locations in collaboration with local authorities. He commended the efforts of all those working in national and local emergency and crisis teams and relevant entities in managing rescue and evacuation operations during the rains, floods, and difficult weather conditions the nation faced, which significantly contributed to protecting lives and property.
He also praised the strong community solidarity demonstrated by the UAE community during the weather event, reflecting the deep-rooted values of the nation's society.
