Urgent Warning in Egypt After Sudden Weather Changes

Meteorological experts in Egypt have warned citizens of sudden weather changes accompanied by desert flies that have already entered Egyptian territory. According to the experts, the desert flies are associated with the khamsin winds, which have reached Marsa Matrouh. Meteorologists urged the necessity of closing windows to maintain safety and health from the harm caused by the flies brought in by the southern Sudanese desert winds.

The meteorologists added that a very strong sandstorm is beginning to impact Sallum, progressively moving towards Marsa Matrouh, causing the sky to turn red due to the storm's intensity. They reported that the sand and dust in the Western Desert have likely transformed into a dust and sandstorm, currently heading to Sidi Abdrhman east of Marsa Matrouh and parts of Alamein, especially its western areas. The latest satellite images indicate active winds stirring up sand and dust in the western part of the country, resulting in reduced horizontal visibility. It is expected that the raised sands will continue to advance to other areas as time progresses.
