Title: The Patriarch: There is No Justification for Not Electing a President

The Maronite Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi emphasized in his Sunday sermon that "it is essential to have a president who can sit at the negotiating table," noting that "for us, there is no justified reason for not electing a president so that constitutional institutions are organized and the constitution is preserved, ceasing its daily violations." He stated, "We pray to the Holy Spirit to touch the consciences of those obstructing the election of a president, linking it to the war in Gaza. For the sake of this war, Lebanon must have a president with full powers to negotiate on this matter."
