With this important win, Wydad has increased its points tally to six, placing them third in Group B, just behind second-placed Tanzanian team Simba on goal difference, while Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas tops the group, having secured a quarter-final berth with 11 points. Meanwhile, Jwaneng Galaxy remains stuck at four points in the fourth and last position.
