The security forces have managed to arrest those suspected of committing the murder of citizen Yasser Al-Kokash in Al-Azouniya and have begun investigations with them. Today, a large funeral was held for the victim in Al-Azouniya, attended by Sheikh Kamal Abi Al-Muna representing the Sheikh of the Druze community, Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna, as well as a delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party led by Joubran Gharizi, the Education and Higher Education Commissioner in the Progressive Party, Samir Najem, Sultan Abdul Khalek representing the Lebanese Democratic Party, Ismat Al-Aryedi representing the Arab Unity Party, Sheikh Imad Farraj representing the Al-Irfan Union, Al-Azouniya Mukhtar Fawzi Imad, in addition to delegations from various villages in Al-Jurd and the surrounding areas. The participants in the funeral expressed their condemnation and outrage at the crime, demanding the relevant authorities to "hasten in uncovering its circumstances."
