The Los Angeles Fire Department announced today, Wednesday, that at least 55 people were injured, two of whom are in serious condition, due to a collision between a train and a bus. The statement on the service's website indicated, "Firefighters and paramedics treated no fewer than 55 individuals injured as a result of the train-bus collision, with two transported to the hospital in serious condition." The statement also noted that "16 injured individuals were transported to the hospital in fair condition, and the remaining 37 were examined on scene." The fire department clarified that the collision occurred between a subway train and a university bus belonging to the University of Southern California (USC).
