Hundreds of Palestinians displaced from their homes left the Al-Amal Hospital and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society headquarters in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Monday, following a two-week Israeli siege. Eye witnesses reported that these displaced individuals moved to the city of Rafah in the southern part of the territory after the prolonged siege.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society shared a video on social media showing the fleeing displaced persons from the organization’s headquarters and Al-Amal Hospital. The society stated in a press release, "Hundreds of displaced individuals are leaving Al-Amal Hospital and the society headquarters in Khan Younis after more than two weeks of the Israeli siege, amid the atmosphere of terror and panic they experienced due to ongoing shelling and gunfire."
Additionally, it was noted that "Israeli occupation forces summoned both the executive committee member of the society and the general director of Al-Amal Hospital, Haidar Al-Qudra, along with the hospital's administrative director, Maher Attallah, and took them to an unknown location."
