Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump criticized current President Joe Biden for refusing to support Israel in its military operation in Rafah. In a post on his social media platform "Truth Social," Trump stated, "Joe the fraud stands with those terrorists (referring to Hamas) just like he stood with the extremists who took over our university campuses." He added, "Biden is weak and corrupt, and he is leading the world straight to a Third World War," once again claiming that the war between Israel and Hamas "would not have started if he were president." Biden had threatened Israel to stop weapon supplies if it continued its operation in Rafah, stating in an interview with CNN, "We will not provide weapons and artillery shells to Israel. Israel will not receive our support if it enters civilian areas in Rafah."
