Tokyo: Saudi Crown Prince Postpones Visit to Japan

Yoshimasa Hayashi, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary, stated that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has postponed his visit to Japan, which was scheduled to begin today, Monday, due to the health condition of the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Crown Prince was set to meet with Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida during the visit from May 20 to 23. No new date for the visit has been announced. The Saudi Royal Court declared that King Salman will undergo a treatment program following medical examinations conducted at the Royal Clinics in the Palace of Peace in Jeddah, which revealed a lung infection.
