Reports indicate that "the casualties were civilians who were on the ground at the time of the crash," while an AFP report quoted a police official saying "the aircraft fell on a house, and several individuals were injured."
Authorities previously confirmed civilian fatalities due to the incident, which occurred in a rural area near Suratgarh in Rajasthan. The Indian Air Force stated in a Twitter message: "The aircraft crashed during a routine training flight, and its pilot safely ejected, sustaining only minor injuries. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident."
