Tragedy in Egypt: 5 People Killed as Bus Falls into the Nile

Five people, including three children, drowned after a passenger bus they were on fell into the Nile in Beni Suef, southern Egypt. The authorities received a report on Monday about a bus falling from a ferry in the Fashn area of Beni Suef. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched and managed to recover five bodies.

It was found that a microbus carrying passengers had boarded a ferry to cross to the other side of the Nile near the village of El-Heba, part of the Fashn Center in southern Beni Suef, when it fell from the ferry with its occupants. The rescue teams succeeded in retrieving the vehicle and the bodies of the deceased, which included a 55-year-old woman, a 25-year-old girl, and three children aged between 5 and 10 years. The bodies were transported to the hospital's morgue, and the public prosecutor was notified to conduct an investigation.
