The Egyptian actor Ihsan Turk appealed to the police to deal with the threats from the landlord of the apartment he rents. The artist was heard calling for help from the police, saying, "Help... the landlord wants to expel my wife and me, or he will increase the rent." Upon the arrival of police at the property in question, the landlord realized he was close to facing a crisis that could lead to him being imprisoned, so he jumped from the balcony, according to the artist's statements during the investigation.
The landlord suffered fractures and external bleeding that required immediate hospitalization. According to the Egyptian police, "the investigations department received a report of a person falling from the balcony of artist Ihsan Turk's home after a commotion and shouting inside the apartment, leading a security force to the scene, where it was revealed that the person who fell from the balcony was the landlord living in the same building as Turk."
During the investigation with the Egyptian artist, he confirmed that the landlord came to him, wanting to increase the rent of the apartment, or else he would evict him and lease it to a Sudanese family at several times the current rent. Turk completely rejected this, which led the landlord to assault him and his wife, prompting his wife to scream. He managed to close the door and inform the police about the assault.
Turk noted in the investigation that "the landlord jumped from the balcony willingly and was not pushed by anyone," fearing arrest due to his assault on them. It's worth mentioning that artist Ihsan Turk had previously complained about being neglected by producers and not being cast in any of the shows, which led him to suffer financial crises.
