Lebanese earthmoving operations ended on lands adjacent to the withdrawal line in the border area, while Israeli forces launched smoke bombs towards Lebanese territories as a Lebanese Army unit and several journalists approached an area where a new wall is being erected across from the Lebanese Kfarshouba hills. A Lebanese bulldozer, belonging to the Kfarshouba municipality, created a dirt road in the Kfarshouba hills at the site where Israel had built a concrete wall on Lebanese land days ago. It is noteworthy that the current Lebanese land clearing operations are unprecedented since the liberation of the south and the western Bekaa.
Israeli outrage followed a video of "Halevi"
Footage captured by a Lebanese journalist of Israeli Army Chief Herzl Halevi inspecting the border with Lebanon, accompanied by his officers, caused a significant stir in Israeli circles. The reporter from Al-Manar channel shared a video on Twitter, showing Halevi at the Lebanese border surrounded by a large number of soldiers and security details. The reporter noted that "the video he filmed and published illustrates how the Israeli Army Chief Halevi appeared during his border tour at the Al-Abad site opposite the town of Houla, accompanied by the Northern Command Chief and leaders of the Galilee Division and Eastern Brigade."
Some Israeli media personnel expressed concern over the clip shared by the Al-Manar reporter featuring Halevi. Israeli Channel 14 commented on the video, stating, "This could have been a potentially deadly opening shot." An Israeli Defense Forces spokesman, Avichai Adraee, mentioned yesterday that "Halevi toured the Galilee Division alongside Major General Uri Gordon, the Northern Military Command, Brigadier General Shay Kliper, and brigade leaders." He added, "General Halevi assessed the situation and reviewed the activities of the IDF on the border, including an increase in operational forces. The Chief of Staff spoke about the readiness and preparedness of the troops and the importance of maintaining normal life for the residents of the north."
