The Bar Association of Tripoli announced that following the revelation of a perverse criminal network involved in the rape of minors in Lebanon and threatening their safety and future, it clarifies the following: The association expresses gratitude to the judiciary and security agencies working to uncover the details of the case.
The statement reads: "The association confirms that it will not hesitate to take any decision or action that could contribute to uncovering this gang and holding it accountable according to legal and association procedures."
The statement continued, "The association affirms that the rumors regarding the involvement of one of the lawyers have not been proven so far, and he has not been arrested. The association will not accept any lawyer being accused except in accordance with the proper procedures, and if the involvement of any lawyer is proven, it will take the necessary actions to uphold justice through available legal means."
It concluded: "The Bar Council also calls for the strengthening of laws that safeguard the rights of children and minors and for their effective implementation to protect them and ensure a safe and healthy environment for them. It urges all relevant parties to respect and defend these rights."
