The city of Laghouat in Algeria remains in shock after a young man stabbed his sister during a live broadcast on Instagram. The hospital administration that treated the victim disclosed details about her condition. They announced that the emergency medical and surgical department received a woman on Wednesday evening who had suffered a serious stab wound to the neck from a sharp object. The medical team promptly administered the necessary first aid and urgently transferred her to the operating room, according to the newspaper "Ennahar" on Thursday.
The surgery took several hours to save the victim, who has now passed the critical danger phase and is currently under surgical medical care in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
It is noted that the young man stabbed his married sister in the neck while she was live on her Instagram account. The knife remained lodged in the victim's neck as she fell to the ground during the broadcast. Her daughter was present at the time of the crime and recorded her mother bleeding on the ground in a state of hysteria. The victim, approximately 40 years old, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
