Arsenal defender Ben White contributed in a strange way to his team's two goals against rival Tottenham during a match on Sunday, which was part of the 35th round of the English Premier League. The right-back's annoying and humorous tactics during corner kicks played a crucial role in scoring two goals from set pieces.
In the 15th minute of the match, when Arsenal was awarded a corner kick, Ben White was inside the opponent's penalty area and attempted to untie the glove of Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. While Vicario was distracted by White, Arsenal took advantage of the goalkeeper's lack of focus on the corner kick and executed it quickly, allowing Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg to accidentally head the ball into his own net.
White utilized the same tactic before another corner kick in the 38th minute, appearing to annoy goalkeeper Vicario, which caused the latter to move slightly from his position. White's trick left his teammate Kai Havertz unmarked to head the ball from the corner kick into Tottenham's net.
The match ended with Arsenal winning 3-2, reinforcing their position at the top of the league, one point ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
