The Israeli army continues to target elements associated with "Hezbollah" and the "Hamas" movement in Lebanon and Syria, successfully killing senior officials within the resistance axis. The latest prominent leader of the party is Hassan Mahmoud Saleh "Jaafar," born in 1973 in the town of Addchit in southern Lebanon, who was killed today, Thursday, in an airstrike on southern Kfar Rumman.
"Jaafar" is described as one of the party's leading missile experts, having participated in the war in Syria and significantly contributing to the shelling operations against Israel following the outbreak of the war in Gaza. Among the notable assassination operations that have recently occurred are the targeting of four party members in two Israeli airstrikes on homes in the towns of Tayr Harfa and Maroun al-Ras a few days ago.
The Israeli army indicated that it targeted a vehicle in the Maroun al-Ras area occupied by Hezbollah members and destroyed infrastructure in the regions of Adaisseh and Khiyaam. The current developments in the southern arena clearly show the complete control of the Israelis over the airspace of the southern Litani area using modern technologies to track Hezbollah fighters' movements.
Israel has sought to increase the number of fighter and reconnaissance aircraft to monitor Hezbollah's movements south of the Litani area, despite Hezbollah's attempts to confuse Israel by changing its confrontation tactics. Hezbollah mourned "Jaafar" in a statement, noting that he was martyred on the road to Jerusalem.
First Israeli Comment
In the first Israeli comment on the Kfar Rumman airstrike, Hebrew media reported that Hassan Mahmoud Saleh is a senior official in "Hezbollah." They stated that Saleh is a prominent member of the "Radwan Force" affiliated with the "party" and was the commander of the Shebaa Farms region.
