Arrests of 4 Individuals in Tripoli, Baalbek, and Shiyah

The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance: On April 26, 2024, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, supported by a unit from the army, raided the home of citizen (M.T.) in the Tabbaneh area – Tripoli and arrested him for having opened fire with others on July 12, 2023, which led to the death of citizen (A.M.). Another patrol in the Tal Al-Abyad area – Baalbek arrested citizens (A.J.) and (M.F.) for forming a gang to promote drugs and for firing shots, and seized a quantity of drugs prepared for trafficking in their possession. Furthermore, a unit from the army, supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, raided the home of citizen (N.S.) in the Shiyah area and arrested him for committing crimes of arms trafficking, drug promotion, and shooting, and seized a large quantity of military weapons, rifles, and hand grenades. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
